A Bit
of History

GFSC began in the fall of 1981 with one field, a few teams and a few people with a love for soccer. The teams played each other that fall and a good time and a feeling of camaraderie was had by all.

Eventually, the number of teams grew and before long, games involved teams from outside the greater Flemington area. As GFSC’s popularity grew, boys and girls teams were added across all age groups in both recreational and travel leagues.

Through our rich history, GFSC emerged as one of the largest soccer clubs in the area with 3 historical leagues – Recreation, Travel and Premier. GFSC has enjoyed seeing a number of its former players have successful college soccer careers; several teams winning state championships; and hundreds of volunteer coaches donating countless hours of time to our growing program. Today, GFSC focuses on Youth Recreational soccer. The Travel and Premier leagues formerly associated with GFSC & CAPS are now owned by FC Copa.

Today, GFSC has two primary leagues:

Recreation
Adult (if enough interest)

Loved the random picnic table it was in sight of field playing at and was able to eat lunch as well. Directions were telling me I wasn't at location yet but I knew I was here. Signage out front

Nice facility for soccer. It has several fields. Today, I was on field 3. The only thing I did not like about this field was that the porta potty was very, very far away. They should have another porta potty at field 3 as this field is separated from the other fields.

Just an FYI, they will occasionally leave their hose on, so if you need to refill a water bottle or hose off while riding your bike, this is a decent place to do so.
